7. Stand-by Duration - 15 points
Compared with the smartphones with other operating systems, the smart phones with Window mobile operating systems are often severely criticized by people for their short stand-by time. Most batteries of Windows Mobile Smartphones can only work well for one or one and a half days when used with somewhat higher frequency. As a result, the stand-by time becomes an important consideration fact of the consumers. This also raised a difficult question for us to solve in the stand-by time test. Therefore, we worked out the score of battery capacity according to the ratio of battery capacity of each smartphone to the average 1330 MAH and used this score as the substitute for the score of stand-by time. In this way, we fully and objectively demonstrated the stand-by function of a Windows Mobile Smartphone.

The scores of stand-by time of the 17 Windows Mobile Smartphones in the evaluation of 2008
According to the principles of statistics, HTC Advantage X7510 that possessed 2200 MAH battery and 5 inches big screen was ruled out from the 17 smart phones. We calculated out the average value (1305.83 MAH) of the remaining 16 products. In this way, we avoided the overall average value and X7510’s score were too high (the score of X7510 was marked according to the highest score of other mobile phones). As for the other types, we got the scores through dividing their battery capacity by 1305.83 and timing 10. In this test item, O2 Mwg Zinc II which possessed 1540 MAH lithium ion battery ranked first.
