Sony Ericsson X2, X3 and X5 leaked - Competition Heated Up

When Sony Ericsson tweeted that new products will be announced soon, rumors started hitting the mobile phone market. People started talking that new phones will be introduced on 16th July, but this can't be said a rumor. Based on the latest information from trusted sources, it seems that Sony Ericsson will introduce a new Xperia series phones.
The new Sony Ericsson Xperia series is named to be Xperia X2, X3, and X5. In the present world, competition is fierce among mobile phone manufacturers and this led to the introduction of Xperia X2 by Sony Ericsson.
Tesco Joins the Big Boys
Supermarket giant Tesco is plunging headlong into expansion in the mobile phone market with the announcement that it will increase its number of phone shops in stores to around 100. This represents the company doubling the number of in-store shops selling mobile phones that are currently has, as it looks to take a large chunk of the market that is currently held by the leading Carphone Warehouse
The prime attention is on the prepay market, where Tesco currently hold some sway. In a remarkable turnaround in these troubled times Tesco is expected to announce a profit of around ?3 billion, a performance that flies in the face of the current recession.
Sony Ericsson Post Massive Losses
Further evidence of the worldwide recession is showing no signs of receding comes with the announcement of a further 2000 job losses from market leading mobile phone manufacturer Sony Ericsson. The massive cull is necessary in order to ride out the financial problems at the moment, as Sony Ericsson are reporting a loss of €358 million in the first quarter of 2009.
Sony Ericsson shed 2000 jobs last year, and many are surprised that the same amount will have to go this time; it is no surprise to industry analysts, however, as job losses in the technology mobile phone market are inevitable in the face of falling sales as consumers tighten their belts.
Nokia Top of the Pops with 5800

Anybody who is looking for an indication of the way in which the mobile phone market is operating at the moment should look no further than the acknowledged bestseller in the music phone area in the first quarter of 2009.
The Nokia 5800 is being proclaimed as ‘The number one selling portable MP3 player’ in a range of adverts being run by the market leading manufacturer. If it is so that the 5800 is taking a march in this market sector then other manufacturers will be looking very closely at where it performs.
Motorola Books Beckham for High End Marketing

The mobile phone market is suffering somewhat from the current worldwide recession, as are most consumer areas across the world; many manufacturers of handsets are being forced to revise their marketing strategies and also to amend their key products in light of what is and what is not selling.
This is true of Motorola, who appear to have resigned themselves to the fact that money may be to be made in the high-end market rather than in budget or mid-range phones; other manufacturers have also looked to this method in the light of falling sales in the general consumer market, but Motorola appear to have gone one step further and have booked an international superstar to market their new ?1000 plus handset.
